The October 2026 Special Edition of the Mamlakah Daily Devotional introduces the annual ministry theme for 5787/2027: “The Year of Shining and Elevation!” The theme is anchored principally in Isaiah 60 verses 1-10 and Matthew 5 verses 14-16. The prophet Isaiah announces the arising of Zion under the glory of God, while the Lord Jesus Christ identifies His disciples as the light of the world and commands them to let their light be visible through good works that glorify the heavenly Father God.

These passages must be handled with both prophetic expectation and exegetical discipline. Isaiah 60 belongs to the prophetic vision of Zion’s restoration and the gathering of nations to the brightness God gives her. Matthew 5 applies the imagery of light directly to Christian discipleship. The devotional therefore does not reduce Isaiah’s prophecy to a promise of personal fame or material prosperity. It draws from the scriptural pattern that God’s light, when expressed through holiness, wisdom, excellence, service, courage, generosity, and good works, can produce influence that serves His purposes.
